Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for an Activities Coordinator to provide stimulating and person-centred activities to our residents at Marula Lodge. Marula Lodge provides high quality services to 43 residents across 4 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment.

Salary: £21,216 pa (pro rata for part time employees) based upon a pay rate of £10.20 ph

Hours of work

40 per week, between Monday to Sunday 5 days over 7.

Every other weekend will be required. Typical hours will be 09.00 to 17.00. A degree of flexibility will be needed on occasion for evening activities and events.

Part time hours will also be considered on an 8 hour day basis.

What you will be doing as an Activities Coordinator

You will be part of a friendly and diverse team starting work ensuring activities are ready and communicated to the team. Activities need careful planning and monitoring around residents intellectual and social wellbeing so they are both safe and effective. This role is both engaging and varied as one day you may be accompanying residents to appointments and the next running special events which include the residents’ friends and families. You will have the ability to encourage participation however, you will balance this with residents’ choice. Finishing your day completing any final reports is vital for communicating important information to other employees.
