Working for us gives you more time for you with a 7 out of 14 day working pattern.
- Week 1 – 3 days: 06.45 – 18.15
- Week 2 – 4 days: 06.45 – 18.15
Total average per week – 40.25 per week. We work a rolling rota with three shifts one week and four the next, having every second weekend off.
Role of a Catering Assistant
Being part of a friendly and diverse team, you will start work ensuring you have the correct PPE and get the kitchen is ready for a busy day of preparing meals and drinks to the residents. Working closely with the chef and management to provide a choice of balanced and healthy meals you will complete tasks including; food preparation, cleaning, washing up, checking temperatures of fridges and ensuring the safe storage of deliveries. Before you head home, you will ensure the kitchen is safe, clean and ready for the next day.
We still apply COVID-19 protections for our residents and employees. Employees must have a minimum of two vaccinations and lateral flow tests will be required daily.
