Cornerstone Healthcare, whose Head Office and 99 bed care home, South Africa Lodge, are both based in Waterlooville, recognises the importance of supporting young women in sports and encouraging them to pursue their passion for football. The sponsorship of the girls’ football team came about after a staff member asked if the company would be interested in helping out the youngsters. It was an opportunity that the company’s CEO, Johann Van Zyl, jumped at, saying “It’s great to be able to support local, grassroots football and the girls in their quest to become future Lionesses!”
The Clanfield Under 10 Girls Football Team is thrilled to have Cornerstone Healthcare Group as a sponsor. “We are grateful for Cornerstone’s support,” said the team’s coach, Brad Mackfall. “Their sponsorship will help us to provide our players with better kit, which will ultimately help to improve their performance on the field.”
With the women’s World Cup being held this summer, Cornerstone hopes that its sponsorship of the girl’s team will inspire more young women to pursue their dreams of becoming professional athletes.
