Aimee Sparks
Interim Home ManagerAimee started working in care at the age of 17 and began her nurse training in 2010. Once qualified she started at St Richards Hospital in Chichester before taking on a deputy sister post. Aimee then left the NHS to work in a non-dementia care setting as a clinical lead. Her passion for dementia care and mental health nursing lead her to Cornerstone where she took on the post of Clinical Manager in 2020.
“Thank you very much to you and the Cornerstone Team who have gone above and beyond in all aspects of my engagement with you. From the initial query and enabling his admission, everyone I have spoken to have tried their best to make his admission and stay as good as it could be. I genuinely do mean thank you and would not hesitate to your services again.”
Community Psychiatric Nurse, Berkshire
“I discussed my client’s case with the Cornerstone nurse who knew this gentleman’s needs/presentation very well. It was nice to see him so settled, you must be doing a great job!”
Clinical Psychologist, Intensive Support Service for Older People
“Whenever we visit, the staff always give us updates on Mum. Her room is spotless and the staff are very thoughtful. One example: it was Mum’s 83rd Birthday and due to COVID only 1 member of family could visit at a time, but staff were able to make it such a special time for her. I know that she is in the best place, being treated with dignity and respect. Well done to all.”

Safe, high quality care
Marula Lodge is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. New services are assessed to check they are likely to be safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. Whilst Marula Lodge received an inadequate rating (report published 2nd December 2021), we are undergoing a significant programme of improvements and expect a re-inspection within 6-months. You can find a link to our profile page on the CQC website with the assessment of performance and ratings here. For more information about the CQC, you can visit their website: www.cqc.org.uk.
