Cornerstone Healthcare introduce dedicated in-house de-escalation trainer

Cornerstone Healthcare have announced the appointment of a dedicated, in-house NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) trainer to work across all of its services.
Jonathan Spencer, pictured, will be responsible for delivering training on psychological and physical techniques to all staff and assisting the group’s nurses in personalising care plans around any NAPPI requirements that an individual may have.
NAPPI is the assessment, support and management of residents whose behaviour may become challenging. Cornerstone Healthcare operates specialist nursing homes in Surrey and Hampshire which care for people with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurological and mental health needs.
Chief Operating Officer, Dara Ní Ghadhra said, “We are thrilled to have Jonathan in this newly created role.
