Facilities
Marula Lodge is divided into four separate units, each of which is managed by a Senior Nurse who leads a team of nurses and care workers. As well as mixed wings, Marula Lodge has both male-only and female-only wings. Our high staff to resident ratio ensures that the most complex of needs are readily met.
Following assessment, our residents are allocated rooms in the unit best suited to their needs in order to safely manage their care and wellbeing.
Our homes all have lovely garden spaces allowing residents to spend time outside with the staff or with their visitors and where residents wish to do so can get involved with caring for the garden. Our rooms all have ensuite bathrooms and offer spacious bedrooms that we encourage residents to personalise and decorate. Marula Lodge has comfortable living and dining rooms for residents to spend time communally as they wish in addition to quieter spaces to meet with visitors or to have reflection or quiet time.
Activities
Our dedicated activities team are specially trained to provide meaningful activities that stimulate, enrich and enhance the quality of life for each of our residents. From arts and crafts, cake decorating and gardening, to shopping and dancing, we support every resident with tailored activities based on their abilities, interests and hobbies.
Our activities teams pride themselves on ensuring each resident has a programme of activities specifically focused to the needs and interests of each individual. This may include spending time in our lovely outdoor, garden spaces, running engaging activities inside or taking residents out to encourage engagement and involvement in the local community.

Visiting Marula Lodge
Visitors are very welcome to our homes, in general at any time; however for the safety of our residents and to support your visit please book with reception beforehand. Reception is staffed Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. Family and friends may telephone us at any time, day or night, to enquire about residents’ wellbeing.
Please ring the doorbell on arrival which connects to reception. If no-one is at the reception desk, or it is outside of office hours, one of the team will meet you at the door. Please be patient if you do not get an immediate response, as it is likely staff are busy with residents.
