South Africa Lodge increases its capacity and creates new jobs
South Africa Lodge has increased its capacity with the opening of five new bedrooms.
Named ‘Lower Violet Lodge’, the new rooms will bring the Waterlooville home’s capacity to 99.

The rooms were formerly occupied by Cornerstone Healthcare’s head office staff. They have been transformed since the team relocated to premises at The Briars on Waterberry Drive in the town last October.
The spacious bedrooms have large windows, en-suite wet rooms, and three residents have already moved in.
“Adding these rooms to South Africa Lodge means we are able to offer our specialist care to more people, which is fantastic because we know how much they are needed,” said General Manager, Michelle Murchan.
“Our housekeeping team have worked extremely hard to get the rooms ready. We are helping our new residents to settle in and make the rooms their own.”
Four healthcare assistants have been recruited to support the new residents, bringing the staff total to 155.
Cornerstone will open its third home in early 2021, offering a home to up to 42 people with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurological and mental health needs.
